Near Neighbours is running a series of Catalyst courses across our northern hubs that is designed to offer leadership training to young people.
The courses are completely free and are taking place this autumn in the Black Country & Birmingham, Dewbsury, and Bury. The course is accredited by Leicester College, so all graduates will receive a level 2 qualification.
What is Catalyst?
Catalyst is for individuals who may ascribe to a faith or belief, who are between 18-30 years of age who want to make a difference in their own communities, meet new people, and acquire new skills and knowledge.
You are only eligible to attend the programme that is specific to the areas that you live in e.g Dewsbury Catalyst Leaders Programme is usually only eligible to those living in Dewsbury. We have sometimes made allowances for those living in nearby areas where candidates have shown a high level of interest and experience.
What values underpin Catalyst?
We hope to encourage an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust, and long term cooperation. All participants will be expected to sign up to our Catalyst Values Statement and will be expected to adhere to Catalyst Ground Rules whilst on the programme. These will be provided once candidates have been selected.
When are the courses taking place?
