Thursday 30th April 2015, 9.30am-3.30pm at the Trinity Centre, North Ormesby
This day conference will provide an opportunity for people from churches, faith groups and organisations concerned with homelessness to come together to learn, share and reflect on our response to homelessness. We hope that by bringing people together, we can support, resource and explore working well with each other to make a significant difference in our communities.
The keynote speaker will be John Kuhrt, Executive Director of Social Work, West London Mission who writes about issues of homelessness and social justice. We will also be joined by the Bishop of Jarrow, The Rt Rev Mark Bryant, who is a trustee of DePaul UK, and a volunteer host for Nightstop.
The day will include looking at the causes of homelessness, the role of faith groups and their contribution to tackling homelessness, and first hand stories of the positive support experienced by people moving out of homelessness. There will be a market place of projects working in the field of homelessness, and discussion groups to allow people to network and share learning. If your organisation would like to have a display in the market place area please contact Heather Black E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Tel 07446908451
