Ideas for fundraising in your community

Fundraising for Church Urban Fund is a great way to help transform the lives of some of the poorest and most marginalised people in England, and to raise awareness of the issues of poverty affecting people in England. It’s also an effective way of getting people in your community together!

Coffee Morning

- A coffee morning is a great way to gather your community together over coffee and tea. Buy or bake some scones, cake or tray bakes, and let the fun commence.

Your Coffee Morning poster is available here

Afternoon Tea

- Like coffee mornings, afternoon teas are great for bringing people together. Put together some simple sandwiches and buy or bake some sweet treats and you’re ready to go.

Frugal Lunch

- Have a simple meal of soup and bread and ask for a donation of the average cost of lunch out.

Harvest Supper

- Home- cooked meals always go down a treat at harvest suppers. From stews and curry to pies and pasties- this is a great way to share a warming meal with the people in your community.

You could even have a themed Harvest Supper with entertainment.

Your Harvest Supper poster is available here.

We also have a great placemat to download for your Harvest Supper here.

Sell tickets in advance or ask for donations on the day of the event.

Tip: The church hall or community centre is the perfect location for these fundraising events. If you want to keep your event low key then invite your friends, neighbours, and family to your home.
