Local Hubs

The work of the Near Neighbours programme is focused in specific areas of England. Each of these areas is covered by a regional hub (sometimes covering multiple areas).

 

Bradford Churches for Dialogue and Diversity, Bradford

The towns of BuryRochdaleOldhamLeedsBradfordDewsbury and Burnley are in our Bradford hub.

BCDD acts as a resource providing learning opportunities for people in Christian and multi-faith settings. BCDD's vision is “Enabling human flourishing in the context of religious diversity.” It does this through resourcing and inspiring churches, Christians and peoples of other faiths in their presence and engagement in multi-faith society.

Transforming Communities Together, Black Country

If you are based in the towns of WolverhamptonSandwellWalsall or Dudley you are in our Black Country hub.

TCT is a partnership with Church Urban Fund, supporting faith based responses to poverty in the Anglican diocese of Lichfield.

Thrive Together Birmingham, Birmingham

If you are based in Birmingham you are in our Birmingham hub.

TTB works to grow and support the movement of individuals, churches and projects who, motivated by their faith, are committed to serving and supporting the poor and marginalised in their local communities, towns and across Birmingham.

The St Philip’s Centre, Leicester

If you are based in Leicester or Nottingham you are in our Leicester hub.

The St Philip’s Centre is based in the highly diverse city of Leicester. They have a track record of promoting positive community relations through dialogue groups, charitable activities and organisation of community events. They were the first of the Church of England’s Presence and Engagement Centre to be established in the county.

Grassroots, Luton

If you are based in Luton you are in our Luton hub.

Grassroots engages with, and responds to, the various issues which pose a threat to community cohesion and inter faith relationships in Luton’s widely diverse context. Grassroots seeks to recognise, encourage and share examples of goodwill and good practice within and between Luton’s diverse communities.

If you are based in west or north London you are in our West London hub.

Linked to St John Southall Green and based in the heart of the highly diverse community of Southall, the Kings Centre is working to bring together local people and strengthen the community.

The Centre for Theology and Community, east London

If you are based in east or south London you are in our East London hub.

Based at St George-in-the-East in east London, CTC exists to help local Christians connect their faith more deeply with their daily life and work – and in particular to act with neighbours of different faiths and of none for social transformation.
