Transforming Lives Together: First Week

Transforming Lives Together: First Week

I feel full of hyperboles today – ‘what a wonderful week’, ‘what a fantastic opportunity’, ‘what an exciting wonderful fantastic awesome inspiring God we serve’! It’s been a good and tiring and full week – I’ve organised my emails and started making connections with people who have already expressed an interest in getting involved with TLT; I’ve set up our Facebook and Twitter accounts and started to get to grips with the website; I’ve gone crazy with stationary and putting important documents into pretty, colour-coded, organised files; I’ve prepared information to take to the Chester Diocese Lay Conference this Saturday; and I’ve started to get to know the office at Church House and the lovely people who work here.
As I glace my eye over the notes from previous and ongoing diocesan initiatives (now arranged in a beautiful colour-coded system on my desk) I am beginning to realise how much hard work has gone before me, how dedicated people in this diocese are, and how gracious God is as he reaches out to those in need. I am so excited to be joining in the with what Jesus is doing, and pitching in with those who are faithfully being his hands, his feet and his heart in their local communities. The best is yet to come!
