St Martin in the Bullring; Volunteer training to support vulnerable people

St Martin's received a Church Urban Fund grant to train volunteers from the congregation to act as a support network for vulnerable people linked to the church. This enabled them to meet the needs of the many very needy people who come to the church including refugees, those at risk of drug and alcohol misuse and the unemployed. A Vulnerable Adults Minister recruited and trained volunteers to listen and support vulnerable people and signpost them to agencies who can help.

Inspire4Change; Youth Employment Training

Inspire4Change was supported by Church Urban Fund to provide employment training for local young people. Their work aims to bring out the best in young people by giving them opportunities to work, find their talents and help the community. The local community centre had seen an increasing number of unemployed young people working as volunteers, and they were offered training opportunities to help them thrive and to find a job.
