In Blackpool

There is a famous seaside place called Blackpool,

That's noted for fresh air and fun ..........

Blackpool has some of the highest levels of poverty and deprivation in the country but also, many very active churches and projects which work with people on issues such as homelessness, addictions, food poverty and employability.

Together Lancashire helped to establish the Blackpool Food Partnership and remains an active partner.

We have a strong partnership relationship with Blackpool Council and are working to establish a Faith Covenant. Together we recently carried out a Faith Audit of the town, and are preparing a report and directory to be launched in autumn 2015. We have already produced an online map which gives details and locations of over 60 projects and activities that are linked to local churches.

We have a volunteer networker who lives in balcckpool, retired vicar, Canon Dick Cartmell.

You can contact him  be email dick.cartmell@together-lancashire.org.uk
