Volunteer with a church linked project in Lancashire

'Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth' - 1 John 3: 18

Many churches and organisations are working hard to help people in the area who are facing the challenges that come with poverty. These organisations rely on volunteers to be able to give the help that is much needed. Below you can see some information about organisations1 in the area, the work they do and the help they need. If you see somewhere you would like to volunteer, please click on the ‘I want to help’ button to fill out a very short contact form that will go direct to the organisation you want to help. Please help: we know that when people get involved in helping others they can make a real difference to those in need and to their own lives as well.

We work closely with a range of volunteering organisations across the county, especially the Volunteer Centre for Lancaster District  who also now cover Preston and have strong links with the other volunteer hubs in the county. If you can't find volunteering opportunities that suit you on our page do get in touch with them, or explore what is avaialbale locally through the national "Do It" volunteering website.

If you are an organisation wanting to advertise for volunteers, please click here and fill in the online form to register your details. We will try to get them up on the site within seven days but if you want to contact us to make sure email greg.smith@together-lancashire.org.ukFollow this link for practical resources and guidance for working with volunteers.

1 These organisations are known to, but not part of, Together Lancashire. The organisations have not been vetted by Together Lancashire and will have their own systems for working with volunteers. Our role is simply to make it easier for you to get in touch with organisations through our website and hopefully to then join in with their important work of tackling poverty
