There are many examples of churches and Christian projects in and around Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland that are involved in activities that benefit their local communities and support people in need. In some circumstances local churches are able to cover and contribute to the costs of these activities,  however in most cases, churches and projects in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland that want to be more involved in their communities need to look for external sources of funding. This could be to cover costs for equipment, running activities, staff, building refurbishment etc.
